Looking along the path beside the burn towards the cottage at the bottom of the garden, with a green mound of Viburnum davidii in the foreground and a pair of fastigiate yews making a focal point on the path, flanking a boulder that provides a warm seat when the sun is out. Colour comes from betula, prunus, amelanchier and acer, and pink asters still in flower next to the yews.
